<div>
Hello Community! I'm glad to announce that - in line with declarations<br>
from this list, IRC and TMO, Communtiy Awards program is starting:<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
1. Receiving submissions starts at Monday, 28 May, 00:00 UTC. It will<br>
last for 3 weeks.<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
2. Self-submissions allowed, *only*, via community mailing list<br>
*only*. Submissions may contain rationale/"my life story with<br>
Maemo/whatever, but it's not required.<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
3. Submission must contain info, if someone is interested *only* in<br>
N950 or N9 (so, in case of not enough devices of preferred type, no<br>
prize), or will be satisfied by any type of prize.<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
4. Community Awards are granted for past deeds, so no future<br>
projects/promises, etc are took into account by Council.<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
5. People that received N950's in any form before (dev programs, etc)<br>
can't submit for / receive another one , but they *can* submit for N9.<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
6. Council will choose winners in it's discretion, in no more than a<br>
week time (so winners will be announced no more than 4 weeks after<br>
starting receiving submissions) - could be less.<br>
</div>
<div>
---<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
Announcement in maemo.org news and Planet Maemo is on it's way. All<br>
submissions will be published in locked (for edit by Council only)<br>
wiki page, updated at least once per week. Same page will be used to<br>
announce winners.<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
Good luck!<br>
<br>
</div>

Hey All,<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
I have been an N900 user since May of 2010. I must say I have never heard of Linux or the related before getting my hands on a Maemo device. The N900 experience gave me a wider perspective about smartphones and technology and how it should be in terms of practical use completeness. I am very active in TMO not in the development side, but in the end user side. Testing new apps have been an adventure and just like watching a suspense movie. I am very willing to test more and more apps most especially Frematle CSSU. Also, I am a anti-spam soldier. I have reported so many spam threads and from time to time comment on threads which are unnecessary or not on the correct category.<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
Thanks for your time!<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
Best,<br>
Kent<br>

Hello all,<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
I apply for a N950 device for the Communtiy Awards program.<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
I have ported already several pentest tools for the N9, and want to ensure<br>
that these also work on N950. ATM issues are kernel changes and compiling,<br>
to implement NAT and packet injection. Goal is to have a full suite of<br>
pentest tools with a working GUI (Qt is my current target as a wrapper<br>
around GTK, hopefully this project will be usefull to make all Qt programs<br>
GTK aware)<br>
I need two devices because this takes a lot of reflashing of alpha kernels,<br>
but also to be able to test on both N9 and N950.<br>
I have N9, therefore I ask for N950.<br>

Hello, maemo.org!<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
I'm nominating myself for the Maemo Community Awards. I would like a<br>
device, because I need one with more headroom than the N900 in terms of<br>
horsepower for various experiments (either the N950 or N9 will do, as they<br>
both share the same CPU).<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
I really hope that I can get one, as I have lots of free time on my hands,<br>
and really want to be able to give back my efforts to the Maemo community<br>

As criteria clearly says "Community Awards are granted for past deeds, so<br>
no future projects/promises, etc are took into account by Council. "<br>
so it's pointless to say say anything about what you like to do in the<br>
future as that is not counted. So no promised to test with N950, or to<br>
improve some software.<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
So its enough just to say what you have done in the past.<br>

Hello,<br>

I'm nominating myself for the Maemo Community Awards. I would like a N950.<br>
I've released some packages in the past (like smssend, groupsms, <br>
volumecontroldaemon, vodafone190, vodafone190 desktop widget, <br>
QtBatteryWidget, QtLockscreen) and updated some existing packages (like <br>
pcsxrearmed, psx4m, psx4m-gui) and I'd really like to develop also for the <br>
N9. :)<br>

Could people nomination themselves add a link to their maemo.org profile<br>

for example the link for sakya is: <a href="https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-community">https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-community</a><br>

I am very willing to test more and more apps most especially Fremantle CSSU. Also, I am a anti-spam soldier. I have reported so many spam threads and from time to time comment on threads which are unnecessary or not on the correct category.<br>

I have discarded the changes you have made in the Wiki page. You have<br>
messed up the page and some other candidates links to add yourself.<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
Everyone, please, *DO NOT* edit the Community Awards Wiki page to add<br>
yourself to it. The Council will do.<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
In the meantime, we will try to lock the page to avoid this kind of<br>

Reposting this from Jonni:<br>

As criteria clearly says "Community Awards are granted for past deeds,<br>
so no future projects/promises, etc" please tell us explicitly what you<br>
have done for/in Maemo IN THE PAST.<br>
At this stage we don't particularly care about what the mysterious<br>
bright future might bring.<br>

Hi Kent,<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
That is the profile at maemo.org Talk (forum). I have also added (as Timoph<br>
suggested) the profile pages at maemo.org, which also includes other<br>
information of the user such as karma points, garage projects, etc.<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
These profile pages are stored in <a href="https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-community">https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-community</a><br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
Don't worry if you don't have that profile page enabled, it's not mandatory.<br>

Dear Maemo community,<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
my name si Roman Moravcik (known as rmoravcik). I would like to submit<br>
myself to Community Awards. If you don't remember what I did (or<br>
maintained) for N900 here is a list of applications and widgets:<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
Ukeyboard, Slovak localization for N900, Nameday applet, Flashlight<br>
widget, MStardict, Subtitles Support for built-in media player, CUE<br>
Sheet Widget, Birthday application, Camera Lens Launcher, Medard, GPSData.<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
I didn't receive any N9/N950 in any dev program and I'm interested in<br>
getting N9.<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
Thank you and it was fun developing and hacking N900 (the best<br>
smartphone I ever had and still have).<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>
Best regards,<br>
Roman<br>
