Hi John,
I dont have a "real" Nokia 770. I'm working on Xephyr.
& Maemo (most probably) supports just 16 bit depth.

Others on this list might be able to answer you better, probably
someone who own's a real Nokai 770. You might as well check the
feature spec http://nokia.com/nokia/0,,75023,00.html
