And to webcore? >> >> I'll be posting numbers there as well > >A few months ago Doug Turner gave me a mozconfig to turn of XUL, which >saved a lot of ram and disk footprint. > yeap, that's exactly the intention. Probably it'd save about ~4 MB of footprint, besides of having the xul-runner disabled at runtime (that would make MiniMo faster). However the '--disable-xul' option you mentioned is broken on the current mozilla tree (we do have a guy working part-time on it). See [1] and [2] for more details >AFAIK that should be the default >nowadays. > which 'that' ? I missunderstood you here >Webcore is both faster and smaller (5MB vs 1.5MB on disk), > that's a partuculary true ... >but doesn't do https or cookies. > > That's the point. MiniMo does and much more ;) (as plugins and extension support, more community rounding it ) >> - Will this be made Hildon and OSSO compilant >> - Will you make the interface a bit better? :-) >> >> >> Actually, we got open source efforts on this regards, check [3] out this time :) [1] https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319346 [2] https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=318041 [3] http://tonikitoo.blogspot.com/2005/11/manaos-embedded-browser-for-nokia-770.html --Antonio Gomes http:// tonikitoo (dot) blogspot (dot) com
