May be i was one of starters of this thread. I have Never been saying that GTK is bad. The case was just that some applications that may be very good gor 770 are made with Qt and and some users like to use them with 770. > Nokia or the developer team around the N770 device has chosen to use > GTK+ instead of QT, > because of many reasons which also have been written down here and in > my eyes, it's not a bad choice. I agree with this and this has nothing to to with that item that some other application developers has chosen Qt and some 770 users may like to use these applications. > My proposal is, if someone really needs the QT library or even > microKDE as example, > they should make it go for N770 device, publish this and finished. At the moment, i am porting two GPS programs for 770, the gpsdrive that is GTK one and Cumulus that is Qt program. I am not only one in the world that thinks that some Qt applications are usefull. I think that Qt is like any other library that can be usefull on 770. It is not wasting bandwidh talking about porting of Qt applications or even Qt itself. > Such threads are mostly wasting time. It is wasting of bandwidth to saying QT is bad, porting QT applications is bad, It is not even alloved to say QT ... Kate
