Regarding Bluetooth ...

Currently, user level applications are not allowed to control
bluetooth connections
or search for services. The pand daemon requires root permission and it is 
command line application. There isn't a way to interact with it.
For handle this issue, D-Bus service are being implemented in the pand
to enable
user level applications handle connections.

Probably this feature will be added in the next bluez-utils release.

The next step is enable automatic bridge creation/control and integrate
with Zeroconf daemon: Howl(autoipd) or UDHCP using D-BUS or shell scripts.

Another important project that we are developing is the head set profile.
