It would probably not have been a bad idea to use dund for DUN connections had it had a D-BUS interface. However, I don't think the current solution where all RFCOMM connections are centralized in btcond is a bad idea either. Nevertheless, I'm pretty open to ideas how to do bluetooth connectivity by having as many SW layers as possible in common with the bluez and desktop linux community. There was even some cooperation discussions with Edd Dumbill (who has developed gnome-bluetooth) in the end of last year, but mainly due to lack of time resources from both parties there hasn't really been any progress on that front. Anyway, the Bluetooth SW architecture is in no way "fixed" with regard to maemo and future products, but for the 770 it's too late to start changing things. > Regarding the implemented daemons, I didn't see integration > with libosso. Is there plans for it or it is not necessary? I don't think it's necessary since they're dealing with pretty low level stuff. AFIAK libosso is meant mainly for applications. Johan
