you probably know that md5sums of the packages (that are part of the
rootstraps) are available from:
 http://repository.maemo.org/dists/maemo/ossw/binary-arm/Packages
 http://repository.maemo.org/dists/maemo/ossw/binary-i386/Packages
or if you use apt-cache within your x86/arm target, e.g:
 apt-cache show osso-af-startup
