(Including the ARM MPU and the c55x DSP). MPU in this case refers to Micro-Processing Unit, which refers to the primary ARM in the OMAP. Anyone even vaguely familiar with TI and OMAP literature should be aware of this, hopefully this should clear things up. Calling it ALU-based decoding would be misleading, as vendors have a tendency to implement barrel shifters in hardware outside of the scope of the ALU. ;-)
