I was going to say "apt-get moo", but I think that's already done...

If the packages will be installed in /usr, I think official packaging
would be nice to be signed and for unofficial(unsigned) packages there
would be a semi-verbose (and after first reading, omittable) warning
that explains the risks involved. This would help make the users aware
that installing whatever on the device might not be a supported
function.
