Or are > they all 24 bpp? Tapani tested with xorg just now and in both cases ("native" depth 16bit or 24bit) you get 32bit depth in addition. Xephyr and Xomap are reporting the 24bit mode in addition. (And as GdkRGB understandably prefers 24bit visual it gets selected...) There's still little information about what exactly is that difference breaking.
