Tommi Komulainen has posted a similar question on his blog just now at:
http://blogs.gnome.org/view/tko/2005/11/21/0

Just to clarify, the new features (software download and wiki sections)
added to
itT are focused to the user community. Millions will be be getting their Nokia
770 soon and majority won't even have linux experience. There are fifteen or
twenty blogs that have been created to talk about Maemo and the Nokia 770 and
everyone seems to go its own way. Everytime we find a new blog dedicated to
Maemo and the Nokia 770, we send a note to the owner about
collaborating but it
seems like each one has their own reasons why they want to start a blog
of their
own. How then can one 'new' user ever find all these information?

The software section (http://www.internettablettalk.com/sowftare) was created
again, for the users. While it seems like it is redundant with Maemo's
application catalog, we think that in the long run, users might find it more
useful since 1) they can rate the application, 2) they can discuss the
application, 3) they can see which is popular based on the number of downloads
4) search based on name, category, etc. Furthermore, as the number of
application become more in more in number, we doubt that first time Maemo
developers as well as big time commercial developers might not list their apps
Maemo Application Catalog since the site seems more developer focused. But
please, if Maemo.org can create something similar, we'll be glad to remove the
software section and just link Maemo's instead.

As for the wiki page (http://www.internettablettalk.com/wiki), the reason we
didn't announce it here at the developers mailing list is again based on the
site's focus -- which are the users. Our goal is to create how-to's as basic
as: 'How do I transfer files from my computer to the Nokia 770?' or 'How do I
connect the Nokia 770 to my phone via Bluetooth?' or 'Why am I getting an out
of memory error?', which are probably too basic questions to make it to the
Maemo how-to wiki page, which right now seems to be a bit too techinical and
focused more to the developers. We want to get users more involved and have
them contribute their own experiences. A lot of information have been already
posted in itT's forums and it's a shame if we don't create a separate space to
collect them.

I hope this clarify things a bit.

Thanks,

Reggie
