Hi!
I have been playing with the video player a bit and am now wondering if
anyone knows the restricions for the streams it will play.

For now I found that the resolution of the movie is critical. But I
cannot determine which resolutions will work, currently 352x208 seems to
work. All others I tried failed with crashing the DSP(?) because I had
to reboot to be able to play even valid streams again.

Then I played with the frames per second and bitrate. It seems that the
frames per second do not influence the result very much. But the bitrate
does! Changing from 200 to 400kbit/s resulted in very high frame loss,
i.e. the sound played continiously but only every second or such a frame
was displayed.

Oh, and all this using DivX produced by lavc and mencoder...

So I guess it should be possible to give a list of min. and max.
settings for encoding good videos for the device.

Does such a thing already exist?
Or should we add this to the Wiki?

Cheers
