Ok, now the https://maemo.org/maemowiki/ApplicationCatalogMockup page
seems like a nice one. But, for the sake of bandwidth, i say, no images
of applications in the application page. They bring too much weight in
to it and if you want to see the application, the homepage is always a
good place to put them.

Ok, moinmoin (the platform maemowiki uses), does support rss through a
module update. Indeed, it would be easy to just monitor the rss feeds.

But i still think that the page will be overweighted, if you remove the
images it will give some life to it, but i still think its too long and
heavy.

I mean, the page is 128KB now. And only with a handfull of applications.
Imagine what will happen when the amount of applications double? Triple?
And i do not think thats not far fetched, not maybe in the next couple
of months but sometime.

And again, this brings me to my next suggestion, we need a better
platform to host our programs. Something like sf.net that have cvs and
upload capabilities, people can put own websites to it and have it (ie.
kismet.sf.net). The problem is the costs, bandwidth costs a lot of
money, and these days, not many people are eager to put something like
that up just for the fun of it.

I think someone already pointed this out, and this is way better than
any wiki based ideas if you ask my opinion.
