That was definetlu my fault. Of course I must have been doing "make menuconfig" inside my Scratchbox ARM target within kernel-source-tree but not somewhere else on my i386. So the right way is to make any modifications to n770_defconfig inside Scratchbox. Then "dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -uc -us -sa -D" works fine and I get new zImage for my Tablet.
