[maemo-developers] [maemo-developers] Failure to compile Qt 3.3.5, Infinite loop in qemu-arm, bug in qemu-arm or gcc ?

Hi Benno,

I am quite sure the problems you experience are because some
executables compiled for arm are used during the build-process of
qt-designer (I guess some source-preprocessors for qt's signal/slot
system) - and because qemu's arm emulation does "not" work (well) - it
hangs.

The way to go is to compile those tools for i386 and place it in a
directory where compiled files for the other toolchain may be placed
(thats how all the utilities like make etc. are also installed, make
on arm-toolchain is also compiled for i386). The set the path so that
only those executables may be started. I succeeded to compile
gnu-classpath with jikes this way.

Good luck, lg Clemens
