Currently pthread is supported, so you can use that. Please correct me if

You can use libxml2, it's included in the product. If you meant expat, it is
not supported.

Full list of packages, which are included in the SDK and in the product
(ITOS2006), can be found from:
http://repository.maemo.org/stable/mistral/maemo-packages--2.0.html

It's good to note that there are quite a lot packages in the SDK and SDK
repositories which are not included in the product by default.
