Hi all,

i want to make an application running on a normal desktop computer to communicate with maemo. Has anyone done something similar, are there any sources, tutorial available that could help me?

Can i do this using D-BUS or i have to do it through normal unix sockets? I ve read about D-BUS and everywhere says that it is created for applications placed in the same computer. All the sample code i can find is about communication on a single computer, but in the site of d-bus it says that it can also be used for application that are not in the same machine.

any ideas are more than welcome,
