Hi Mario
which version Suse did you use ?

I just flashed with SuSe 10.0 without any problem. SuSe 10.0 ( kernel
2.6.13-15.10-default) all update only standard, via suggestion from YOU - the
Suse update procedure
I do not have the Variable USB_DEFS_PATH set. ( The windows is still open)
I was setting up a debian machine: to be sure that i have no problems. Than i
saw the flasher -i option: and thought if that gives proper info, than i will
give it a try.

I distilled the following procedure meamo.org and the mailing list
I created a separate directory and downloaded the .bin file with the data and
flasher-2.0
ctrl-alt-f1 ( Go from KDE to a gui- less shell)
login as root
cd proper directory
Make flasher executable (chmod 700)
Switch of 770
plug in usb cable
./flasher-20 -F file.bin -f -R
contents of .bin archive is shown
waiting for device
Plug in charger
and the 770 is flashed ..

=-=-
your variable is not set
I checked : and there is no difference if an xterm is used

Kind regards
Frank
