	I'd like to hear from others who have a working development
set-up. 
	 
	I have an i486 box running Desktop BSD, an iBook G4 (10.4.8),
and an i586 with XP. I'd prefer to install the development system on an
external firewire drive.   
	 

Well, you could do it with that way, but might be easier in short term
to just install e.g. Ubuntu along with the XP if you have some
reasons to keep using it.
