Even better would be to allow both the USB networking and the USB Ethernet drivers to be loaded, and in such a case offer three USB configuration descriptors: one that's just Ethernet, one that is just mass storage, and one that is both, on different USB interfaces within the same configuration. Ideally USB serial (for syncing) would also be offered - so you would then have 4 configs offered.
