Sorry, I use way too much WLAN jargon and acronyms. I meant WLAN
Access Point here.

I have received other reports about similar problems. Does dmesg show
lots of DEAUTHENTICATE traps and sm_drv_transmit errors?

I will take a look at it and try to reproduce the problem in my lab.
