Just as a matter of fact: a Nokia employee has recently stated on
this list that the osso-ic component is closed source for no other
reason than that closed source is the default at Nokia (even when
developing for the Maemo platform, apparently).

It was explicitly asked whether any IP was involved, and the answer
was no.

(Unless I misunderstood, of course...)
