>I may be being over-dramatic Drama is a big gender itself, no need to overdo it. ;) The discussion about the maemo platform is getting increasingly interesting but we all need to assimilate a wider context in order to push it to higher levels. As an example, here is some context: http://foundation.gnome.org/ You see some familiar logos there. In fact what matters are not the logos in this web page, but what is behind thi space for collaboration. GNOME is just an example, there are other. Never underestimate the importance of this. Source code is important, but no more than the people creating it. If you evaluate the maemo project only looking at the source code you will miss part of the picture. Someone wrote few days ago about "the somewhat closed community in which we're operating". Now this is perhaps too dramatic. I hope you agree that we are doing not-bad in terms of participation and collaboration in the upstream context, at several levels. Perhaps we just need more catchy t-shirts so you notice better. ;) Quim PS: btw, hi from Santa Clara CA, where something is going on: http://perkypants.org/blog/2007/04/16/major-gnome-announcement-next-thur sday/
