My guess is that the new package wants debhelper supporting compatiblity
level 5 (as both Debian and Ubuntu use that currently), but our SDK/Sbox
provides currently only dephelper support until compatibility level 4.

Ubuntu people would actually want us to have newer debhelper so that
they can send us patches using it (newer version has some nice features
Ubuntu folks like to use).  AFAIK newer debhelper is being tested but
not yet part of the standard Scratchbox Debian devkit, maybe you know
something more about this?
