Actually, you can't find the X git repository.  This is partially
because I can't publish the one I use for actual development, as it
contains a few things which cannot be made public, but the reason I
haven't made a user repository on freedesktop.org with the Maemo changes
is just because I'm crap and disorganised, rather than any deliberate
Nokia conspiracy to keep people from finding the precious changes.
