Hi, I've finally gotten around to packaging PocketSphinx (http://www.pocketsphinx.org/) for the N800. This is *not* going to be useful for anyone who isn't a developer, because the included language models aren't very good, and the audio input using ALSA doesn't seem to work correctly. Nonetheless, if anybody out there has been meaning to port gnome-voice-control (http://live.gnome.org/GnomeVoiceControl) to maemo, now you have no excuse! Packages are at: http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dhuggins/packages/bora/ Source and Ubuntu Feisty binary packages for x86 and x86_64 are at http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dhuggins/packages/feisty/ if you want them. If you actually want to use this in live mode, you will need to use GStreamer for audio input. There is an unfinished plugin based partly on the code in gnome-voice-control which is in the CMU Sphinx Subversion repository at: https://cmusphinx.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/cmusphinx/trunk/gst-sphinx/ Watch this space for future developments.
