FAQ time again!  :-)

Check /scratchbox/etc/resolv.conf.

[snip bits about checking /scratchbox/etc/nsswitch.conf and being able
to connect to repository.maemo.org in the x86 target]

Actually I'm now confused.  If resolv.conf were wrong, neither of your
targets would be able to perform name resolution.  Still, it's the first
thing to check -- it's the most common cause for problems.
