Noticed this some time ago. Thanks. Looks like is is based on or 
contains similar info like
http://maemo.org/maemowiki/HowTo_KernelCompilation

Maybe you can link the wiki page as non-authoritatiove source of further 
info if it is possible to link wiki from official guides.

As for missing stuff - some warning about proprietary wi-fi module in 
initfs which needs to be compatible with custom kernel would be nice. 
People may be surprised when using different toolchain or kernel version 
string and end with reboot loop. Or better add info about how to 
recompile cx3110x module too (including link to source). That would be 
much appreciated. I think there is/was some EABI trickery here so it is 
not so straightforward.

Maybe you could also mention where the kernel on device is stored 
(/dev/mtd2) so people could figure out the size limit (2MB?).
