Where did get knowledge of its existence from?

What was the problem here?

I remember minisip available for the 770. This SIP (with GUI *hint*)
application uses ALSA IIRC. Maybe you could try if it works with you
installation of the ALSA stuff? Any report about this would be very
useful.
