The vertical scroll bar is for me the most frustrating problem though - this affects every application, whereas the patchy sensitivity I have in the middle of the screen affects only those apps where I need to drag the page (eg. the browser, news reader). Obviously the occasional button press or list selection can also be ignored if it falls within this defective area. Re-calibrating, rebooting and reflashing have had no effect (I'm running 2.2006.51-6, stock Nokia kernel). Really need to know if this is firmware related (fixable) or hardware (return to Nokia) - it seems fairly common.
