[maemo-developers] becomeroot once again but with password

So that you can get root in an easier way.

  sudo apt-get install foo

is considerably easier to type with the vkb than

  ssh root at 127.0.0.1
  rootme
  apt-get install foo
  exit

You do know that you can shift the case temporarily if you drag the key
upwards?
