Hi all, as you said the browsing experience using the Opera browser is not as good as all of we want, however, as you mentioned Nokia guys know that (Ari Jaaksi said that in that link Quim Gil sent) which it is a very good news! However, even with an improved and lets suppose a "full working" Opera browser we would have a second choice. Some other guys have already complained about the Maemo open source ideologies and the Opera closed browser (paradox), so why do not have an open source solution for both issues? You mentioned Webkit. What is that webkit? Please, do not worry explaining me this, actually I know what the Webkit is. What I mean here is its functionality. It is used in Nokia S60 (Is it?) but we are complaining about a Web 2.0 compliant browser and the Webkit seems to be in a initial stage now and seems that have been like this for years. BUT, with some improvements could become a lighter and faster browser. Webkit needs of a good developer (or a team of developers) working on its improvement. It has all the requirements to become the Opera substitute. IMHO, the most complete solution you mentioned is the Minimo browser. It is not as heavy as Opera, it is more completed than Webkit and it is Mozilla based. Minimo just need some updates on its internal GtkMozEmbed which is not full compliant with Firefox engine. BTW, there is a guy working on its port to Maemo [1] (You should try it!).
