Hello maemo developers, I'm trying to install Maemo on a RHEL4 PC and am following http://repository.maemo.org/stable/bora/INSTALL.txt but unfortunately I am stuck at this step (more details below): [sbox-SDK_X86: ~] > fakeroot apt-get install maemo-explicit Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: maemo-explicit: Depends: libosso-abook-dev but it is not going to be installed E: Broken packages Does anybody please have an idea what's wrong here? Thank you Alex ------------More details below-------------------- I'm trying to install Maemo at a RHEL4 PC by following the instructions at http://repository.maemo.org/stable/bora/INSTALL.txt I've unpacked these files under /scratchbox: 49932823 Jan 9 12:31 scratchbox-core-1.0.7-i386.tar.gz 9385873 Jan 9 12:31 scratchbox-devkit-cputransp-1.0.1-i386.tar.gz 5055791 Jan 9 12:31 scratchbox-devkit-debian-1.0.6-i386.tar.gz 98063806 Jan 9 12:31 scratchbox-devkit-doctools-1.0.5-i386.tar.gz 970158 Jan 9 12:31 scratchbox-devkit-perl-1.0.4-i386.tar.gz 14395788 Jan 9 12:31 scratchbox-libs-1.0.7-i386.tar.gz 49751041 Jan 12 11:29 scratchbox-toolchain-cs2005q3.2-glibc-arm-1.0.5-i386.tar.gz 47935438 Jan 12 11:31 scratchbox-toolchain-cs2005q3.2-glibc-i386-1.0.5-i386.tar.gz 4361391 Nov 30 18:31 scratchbox-toolchain-host-gcc-1.0.7-i386.tar.gz and put 3 additional files under /scratchbox/packages: 5205685 Jan 17 14:29 maemo-sdk-nokia-binaries_3.0.sh 58767080 Jan 17 14:29 maemo-sdk-rootstrap_3.0_armel.tgz 57803478 Jan 17 14:29 maemo-sdk-rootstrap_3.0_i386.tgz Then I've run run_me_first.sh (selected non-sudo) and added myself (afarber) using sbin/sbox_adduser. Inside the scratchbox I've run maemo-sdk-nokia-binaries_3.0.sh and have got these files in my scratchbox home dir: [sbox-SDK_X86: ~] > ll maemo-sdk-nokia-binaries_3.0/ total 44 drwxr-xr-x 4 afarber nmpbo 4096 Jan 7 13:40 . drwxr-xr-x 3 afarber root 4096 Jan 17 14:35 .. -rwxr-xr-x 1 afarber nmpbo 20421 Jan 7 13:40 LICENSE drwxr-xr-x 3 afarber nmpbo 4096 Jan 7 13:40 dists drwxr-xr-x 2 afarber nmpbo 12288 Jan 7 13:40 pool After that I've added SDK_ARMEL and SDK_X86 targets using sb-conf exactly as in the bora/INSTALL.txt. Then I've selected the SDK_X86 target, set the http_proxy env. var. to our corporate web proxy server and appended a line to the /etc/apt/sources.list: [sbox-SDK_X86: ~] > cat /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://repository.maemo.org/ bora free non-free extras deb-src http://repository.maemo.org/ bora free non-free extras deb file:/home/afarber/maemo-sdk-nokia-binaries_3.0 bora explicit [sbox-SDK_X86: ~] > apt-get update Hit http://repository.maemo.org bora/free Packages Hit http://repository.maemo.org bora/free Release Hit http://repository.maemo.org bora/non-free Packages Hit http://repository.maemo.org bora/non-free Release Hit http://repository.maemo.org bora/extras Packages Hit http://repository.maemo.org bora/extras Release Hit http://repository.maemo.org bora/free Sources Hit http://repository.maemo.org bora/free Release Hit http://repository.maemo.org bora/non-free Sources Ign http://repository.maemo.org bora/non-free Release Hit http://repository.maemo.org bora/extras Sources Ign http://repository.maemo.org bora/extras Release Reading Package Lists...
