Thanks Lauro.  Looks like a bug in Maemo GTK code then.

I've logged it on Bugzilla: https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1531

I couldn't see an option in bugzilla to file a bug against 3.0 or  
3.1, which is why I've left the version as 'unspecified'.

I don't suppose you have any good ideas for a workaround?
