I think that in general text input should be the exception rather than the norm on an embedded device. So, if in general you're not inputting much text then you don't really need the fancy wow features for the on screen keyboard. I'd mainly use it in applications for smooth scrolling, fades, effects, and lighting. It would be nice to use with game emulators too. snes9x, xmame, etc....
