[maemo-developers] How to change the built-in IM client behavior?

Hi list,

I posted this on the maemo-user list, but did not get any response. Hope
you don't mind I post it here.

I have been wondering if there is any easy way to change some of the
behaviors in the N800 built-in IM client. For example, I would like to
have the IM window popping up instead of the icon flashing in the left
panel. I would really appreciate any pointers. Thank you.
