Ok, now that I have loaded g_file_storage it looks much better but it still does not work for me. I use a powered usb hub, connected the upstream port to N800 and connected a usb keyboard to one of the downstream ports in the usb hub. I got a bunch of "device not accepting address 11, error -71" messages in dmesg and the keyboard is unusable. When I connected my phone (mass storage mode) to the usb hub, the n800 froze and then rebooted. Otherwise you can only use devices that need minimal power or are self powered. Another thing to check is to make sure you have some gadget driver also loader, it's currently needed to initialize the OTG driver. So you should have g_file_storage loaded when you do lsmod.
