The reason for this is that whenever other participants (me, Simon, Andrew, Graham, ...) raise the real issue - i.e. that what we really want is an autobuilder - you, and Quim, and the other high bandwidth participants in this thread, studiously ignore this point! Want more stuff in extras => set up an autobuilder. It's as simple as that. Once most people are using a single repo, package dependency problems will disappear. Within-package quality can be dealt with by the usual free software mechanisms, and others (such as rating and feedback) that have been discussed. Regards, Neil
