I'd be happy if zooming as it is now worked for the pages I read:
https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2049

(disclaimer: I didn't test with os2008 yet, but since the bug is in 
state UNCONFIRMED I don't think it's been fixed).
