Hi,
as a newbie developer-in-spe , happy user of my Nokia 770 OS2006,
I am going to test today some ready-made Python scripts and learn how to develop new ones on my own to accomplish the following tasks:

Python script modifying maemo-bt-plugin in that way to let my Nokia 770 / maemo mapper or another GPS application to connect to 2 bt gps units
and read nmea sentences from the unit gets fix faster and to swing to another gps unit if fix is lost on a first unit.

Another Python script should manage POI database in maemo mapper in that way, face-lifting and upgrading it to Garmin standard (more fields in data records).
New features like safety cams, new POI database format loader.

Python script to read and save GPS data to a file in XML format.

Already installed libsqlite3-0, maemo-bt-plugin, ossso-xterm, python 2.5-runtime, nano editor, gainroot

Please give me your helpful hand and refer me to some right places for test Python scripts.

And please tell me how much time it takes to master SDK and c to modify a source of maemo-bt-plugin to support 2 bt gps units connected, make it and have it packaged as a .deb file .

Thanks.
Darius
