Agreed, and as you reference mud-builder later on, I've *no* problem
in the Maemo team providing a proper auto-builder and destroying some
aspects of mud.

In fact, it'd be better as mud could concentrate on repackaging
upstream tarballs etc. to source bundles necessary for the Maemo
autobuilder, and not have to worry about the boring auto-build stuff.

Agreed. Personally, I think it'd help enormously with getting stuff
into extras, and improving the general Maemo landscape. Instead of
mud-builder, it'd almost certainly be worth using the Debian/Ubuntu
infrastructure designed for this kind of thing: mud-builder is still
at a much lower scale than this'd need to be (with queues, error
handling/emailing etc.)
