I tried with quite regular 44.1kHz stereo 16bit per sample WAVs. Playback itself is OK as long as nothing else is happening. If I tap on any UI element that causes some screen updates (like a drop down menu) I get dropouts of 1/10th of a second up to (felt) 1/2 of a second. This does not happen with the built-in multi media player which makes me think that there must be a better way to play this than the above mentioned gstreamer pipe. >> Is there an additional Gst plugin which I can use for some >> pre-buffering? Hmm... pitily it does not :( Strange... could using ESD instead gstreamer probably help? My application is not timing critical so that buffering effects from esd would not be dramatic. > Stefan Cheers nils faerber -- kernel concepts GbR Tel: +49-271-771091-12 Sieghuetter Hauptweg 48 Fax: +49-271-771091-19 D-57072 Siegen Mob: +49-176-21024535 --
