Qemu could use some work:

1) develop system mode qemu to emulate the target hardware, allowing booting
   the FIASCO images (or a trivial derivate of them), I can assure that
   the core sw team is willing to support omap-qemu configuration with the
   stock kernel.
2) fix and maintain qemu-arm user-mode

Those two would take the developer experience quite a bit towards nice.
