Hi. We are looking for a maemo bugmaster - Someone independent but paid by Nokia, working for the maemo community to make sure that the developers listen to you and that Nokia ships better products thanks to the feedback received. This person would start triaging bugs and helping to highlight the urgent/important stuff. He/She would make the ultimate decision about how bugs.maemo.org is organized. He would have access to Nokia's internal bug reporting tools, processes and people in order to make progress on the deeper issues. When asked about how I thought we should proceed in order to find the right person I had few doubts: let's ask Murray Cumming at Openismus. He has been solidly complaining here about many weaknesses in our bug reporting processes and he knows both sides. If in X time he is happy about our progress then surely the maemo community will be happy as well. And if the community is happy Nokia is happy too. Therefore: if you feel that you are the right person for this job, please contact Murray at http://openismus.com/about.shtml. Some development background and familiarity with the maemo platform are recommended. Of course, experience with an existing bugzilla (or similar) installation is ideal. There is total flexibility on location and timing as long as you get things done. For more details ask Murray and concentrate all your communication skills on him (and not with me) because he is the one deciding. Quim Gil
