This is the space used by scratchbox+sdk, fresh install, under mandriva, 
so debian packages may be different.

$ du -sh /mnt/disk1/maemo/
1.7G    /mnt/disk1/maemo/

Xephyr, as packaged by mandriva, is around 4M
