Sure, theoretically WLAN is slower than USB networking, but in practise it should be fast enough for ssh use. Try disabling WLAN Power Save Mode, because it creates quite a lot of latency. The amount of latency varies with your AP settings (beacon interval, DTIM), though. -- Kalle Valo
