[maemo-developers] Question on Bug fixing general process

Hi, al

I'm looking for the general bug fixing process. My question is "how to
do while the bug refers to 3rd party application". 

Bug # 2918 https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2918 refers to the
UTF-8 character processing in Busybox ash. The latest busybox-ash still
have this problem. 

Busybox in Diablo is 1.6.1, and someone said that Busybox would be
upgraded in Fremantle,  so which version should I take as the base if I
want to give solution? File a bug in busybox official site
<http://busybox.net/bugs>, or else?
