Hi Andrea,

(replying to maemo-developers also, I forgot at first)

What does

	file gpsfake.log

output? The 0xa hints to some line newline conversion problem. I get

$ file gps.txt
gps.txt: ASCII text

This gps.txt works fine in my machine.

Btw. I don't run gpsfake as root.
