hi, I completely removed my scratchbox and maemo installation and reinstalled both scratchbox and maemo 4.0. There still seems to be some problems with the repository because when i do an apt-get it shows the following error [sbox-CHINOOK_ARMEL: ~] > apt-get update Ign file: chinook Release.gpg Ign file: chinook Release Err http://repository.maemo.org chinook Release.gpg Temporary failure resolving 'repository.maemo.org' Failed to fetch http://repository.maemo.org/dists/chinook/Release.gpg Temporary failure resolving 'repository.maemo.org' Reading package lists... Done E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead. also when i look into /etc/osso-af-init/ i can see .dpkg-new files as in instead of locale its locale.dpkg-new so when i manually rename them and then run the af-sb-init.sh script i get the following error cannot find /usr/share/themes/default/theme.xml I am not sure what the problem is, this is the first time im seeing a .dpkg-new file also dosent look like the apt-get completed sucessfully. Im having the same problem in both the targets. Has someone completed the installation after the repository was up last week, if so can you please document the work around for the problem. I have been trying to install the maemo 4.0 chinook for more than 2 weeks now. any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance harini -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://lists.maemo.org/pipermail/maemo-developers/attachments/20080104/296a31d2/attachment.htm
