I would guess that the code expiration dates would be extended in the case that stock was not available. What's troubling to me is that the USA is not mentioned at all in the message. No further details, no mention what so ever. What is the reasoning behind that? I would assume that the Maemo team could decide whether to mention the USA status even if they can't control stock or getting discount codes working in a particular store.
